With all of Africa’s Big Five (Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo) present in the reserve, as well as an abundance of both bird life, general plains game, endangered Wild Dogs and Cheetah, there is seldom a dull moment!
Mid-morning and Sunset refreshment breaks offer a variety of delectable treats and beverages for you to enjoy out in the wilderness, before continuing on your exciting adventure in discovery of what awaits you around the next corner.

We recommend neutral coloured clothing, long trousers, closed walking shoes and a sun hat to ensure your comfort on walking safari’s.
Children under the age of 16 years may not partake in bush walks due to safety reasons and adults over the age of 60 years require a medical fitness certificate in order to participate. These regulations are put in place to ensure your safety as this is our first priority given the nature of our environment.

The Anti-poaching unit in collaboration with the Madikwe Wildlife Foundation work tirelessly to protect Madikwe’s Rhino population, but it is an arduous and costly battle. Lead by Phillip Hatting and his team of veterinary specialists, the Madikwe Wildlife Foundation invite our guests to share in a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in this critical work.
